Pergola

We have wanted to do a cement slab and a pergola in our backyard for awhile. Well, now it is finished (for the most part). Here it is ready for cement.

Here they are starting to pour the cement.
They had to pump the cement over the house. Jade wanted to watch.

The cement is finished, and now starts the building phase of the pergola.

Kade bribed Jared and Robert to come help him.

I am so glad they helped!!!

 Zoe wanted to help.

Here is the semi-finished pergola. We won't get the shade material for a couple more days.

My man is quite talented!

Kade's family comes to visit.

Kade's sister drove over from New York with her family and 2 of his brothers and their families came to visit.
Tatum and Zoe had matching batgirl shirts on!
Sarah was holding Zoe and her cousin Halle.
Jackson and Ty were driving around in the Escalade! Ty is holding the green ball...shocker!
Kade and I (mostly Kade) were in charge of a meal and we did a Shrimp Boil. It was delicious!
I laughed when I took these last 2 pictures. The first one is of all the women in Donna's kitchen.
With all the men sitting outside on the deck.

Fun was had by all!!!

Kids are just cute!!!

This picture is for Jennifer Cooksey Drawdy. She gave this shirt to me when Jade was born. Never would she have guessed that I would have a son whose favorite color is green. I love it when he wears it because it reminds me of Tallahasse and Jennifer (whose birthday it happens to be today! Happy Birthday Jennifer!!!).
Ty busted his chin in church and I wanted to take a picture of it, but he wouldn't let me, so this is the best I could do.
Zoe looked adorable in these boots. I just wished she smiled for this picture, but she was deep in thought!
Jade and Zoe have princess dress pajamas, so I took a picture of them. Needless to say, Jade posed for me!!!

Zoe fell asleep on the was home from Pocatello. How uncomfortable it looks.
I unbuckled her and she stayed asleep.
Ty also fell asleep so I carried him inside and put him on the chair.
After they woke up they "helped" me put the toilet paper away!!!

Men and their guns?!!!

Kade got his concealed weapons permit, so he felt he needed to go and get a new gun. His brother Lane got one as well. They were comparing guns the other day (and how well they could conceal them) when Lane came up to visit.

Kade thought it was stupid that I was taking pictures of them, so this is the best I could get from him.

Lane at least cooperated with me and gave me a good shot!

I guess us ladies have our shoes!!!

What do you do when...

you have a babysitter and you get home and see this (yes, it's blood) on the floor...

and this on the door?

You panic a little, and then you remember that your daughter sliced her finger earlier that day on the lid of a can and she probably just got her band-aid off.

Pictures never do it justice, but the tip of Zoe's pointer finger almost got sliced off. I need to invest in one of those pampered chef can openers!

Jade of course did not want to be outdone so she wanted a picture taken of her toe that she cut.

No more training wheels!

Jade decided Tuesday that she wanted to ride her bike without training wheels. I have not pushed it because I don't want to deal with the cuts and bruises (and, well let's be honest, I didn't want to run behind her). She started in the back yard going down the hill on the grass by herself. When Dad got home she was so excited she told dad to watch and she just took off on the driveway. She did awesome!!! No crashes yet, and I didn't have to run behind her!!! Thanks Jade for teaching yourself!

This is Idaho weather for you...one day in shorts and a shirt...and the next in a jacket. Starting next week though everyday is in the 70's. Yeah!

Easter...that's right I am just now posting it.

This is our family picture of Easter morning.
Our external hardrive (which is where I stored ALL of my photos I EVER took) is broken and is at a specialist store somewhere is Ohio (I think) where it is being worked on. I talked to them yesterday, and they said we were good candidates for getting our files back (the only good news I have gotten in awhile). So needless to say I am not in a picture mood lately. Don't really know when I will post again.
