This is how...

we punish our kids!

Sun Valley!

A few weeks ago we went to Sun Valley, ID for a little ski vacation. We met up with 2 of Kade's friends from high school who we love dearly!
The Lodge was probably the most fun.
Kade can never take a serious picture.
Kurt and Beth inside the ski lift
Kade taking a break
They had bowling in the Hotel
I made everyone go skating with me.

We had a really fun time!

Watch out figure skaters, here we come!

I've been dreading this, but

it needs to be documented. I will laugh someday right? A couple weeks ago I walked into the living room downstairs to see this picture with Ty standing in front of it holding a golf ball. It had given us 3 years of pleasure, so I guess it is not too bad right?

The day was full of frustration, tears, self-control (on my part), among other things. I want to do a log of my texts to Kade through the day. It was March 18th.

Me -> Kade 10:23am

Call me as soon as you can! (I attached the above picture). Here is why...we can kill our son together...there goes our tax return.

He called. I cried. He calmed me down.

Me -> Kade 11:47am

Jimmer is on the cover of si (sports illustrated)

Me -> Kade 11:55am I attach the picture below.

That's right, that is a puddle of pee on the ground!!!

side note : It was freezing outside and I let him just stand like that for 10 minutes outside as his punishment. I am painting a really good picture of myself huh?

Me -> Kade 2:19pm

Using lr44 batteries. Can you bring some home?

Me -> Kade 5:32

And to just add to the day Ty just pooped and peed in his underwear while wearing his orange ski bib!

Kade -> Me 5:47

I am going to stay in Aberdeen good luck.

Me -> Kade 6:03

No biggie...your son just dumped his entire bowl of dinner on the floor...life is great.

There was a lot of sarcasm in the above texts! But now we have a bigger and better t.v.. And to help Kade's wounds to heal faster he bought himself a PS3!!!

This and That

Love these kids!
That's right, it's bath time!
Me and my girls.
My men. That's right Ty had a jelly filled powdered donut for breakfast.
Spring? Atleast Ty is enjoying it.
Zoe found my jewelry box...oh no.
Zoe also found Dad's chest of drawers.
Before. Kade and I have had the same bathroom decor since we have been married. After a few accidents from the kids and the edges starting to fray, I thought it was time for a change.
After!

Simple/silly pleasures and something not so pleasant

What won't kids do? The simplest/silliest things make them happy sometimes!
I just had to put this photo in!

We have started potty training! Well, we started back in October, but it is still continuing. About 3 weeks ago we put his blanket up and taped some treats above the toilet to entice him to go poop on the potty...let's just say that it still looks the same :( He will catch on before Kindergarten right???

Snow, dinner, friends, and maybe some nudity.

We thought the snow was done, but we thought wrong.
Zoe and I stay inside and enjoy the warmth!
Kade and his 4 brothers all have birthdays really close, so we all got together for dinner on Saturday. It was really fun!
Here is the sister-in-laws and mother-in-law.
Here is pops and the 4 boys. Yes, my husband is the most mature sticking his tongue out.
We got to have Livi come and play with us for a couple hours on Friday. I don't know if she had that much fun with Ty though. Jade was at pre-school. One time I walked into the room and Ty had his arms around Livi and was squeezing pretty hard (It looked like Livi was having a hard time breathing). I told him to let go, and he said, "mom, I am just giving her a hug." Right, Ty.
Another time I walked into this. Ty was "lightly hitting" her. I asked him to stop, and he said, "mom, it is ghost freak doing it." For those of you who don't watch Ben 10, Ghost freak is an invisible alien. Hence, it wasn't Ty doing the hitting because I shouldn't have been able to see him. Ah, Boys!
We had some neighborhood kids over yesterday and they had a blast playing Dance Central.
Ty enjoyed it too.
Here is where the nudity comes in, but it sure is cute nudity!!!
